Dr. Jennifer Lin OD is a glaucoma certified optometrist trained to detect and manage macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, child vision development issues and other blinding eye disease.
Her training was in Chicago at the Illinois College of Optometry, the oldest and largest facility dedicated to the study of optometric care. She received their Trustee’s Scholarship in 2006, and went on to present a research poster at the American Academy of Optometry in 2009. Her most rewarding experience as a doctor was four days in Arequipa, Peru with a group of fifteen volunteers giving exams and eye wear to over a thousand of the neediest people in the community. In the USA she is a board member of the San Mateo Optometric Society, donates doctor time and equipment to Project Homeless Connect and Samaritan House. She has wanted to be an optometrist since the 6th grade and can’t imagine a career doing anything else.
